This report illustrates how Al algorithms will be applied to Radio Access Networks to enhance capacity, reduce energy
consumption, and improve other metrics as well. Implementation of semiconductors locally for real-time optimization are illustrated separately from implementation of non-realtime algorithms at the network level, with estimates of the capacity and energy improvements at each level.
Technical trends and impact are forecasted through 2030 to illustrate how Al/ML will impact investment in mobile networks.
